Few type of Indoor lighting are listed below

Ambient Lighting – It provides overall lighting and a comfortable level of brightness, and allows you and your guests to see and move about safely.

Accent Lighting – It creates an awesome mood and adds interest to a room by highlighting certain areas and objects, such as paintings, walls, and collectibles.

Tips for Dining Rooms

•Use more chandeliers or just one fixture to light the room. Layer with light from a selection of sources to get the most flexibility required for creating special moods in the same room.

•Using dimmers and layering with light allows you to use the brilliant light you require while setting your table, and then carry the light down when your guests arrive.

•For a stylish setting, blend candlelight and lesser levels of electric light sources all over the room. Dim every group of lights separately to make a variety of dining moods.

Tips for Living Rooms

•Place light sources at a variety of heights within the room (ceiling, table, floor) to add image interest and human scale.

•Use translucent shades on table lamps to add to the ambient light level.

Tips for Kitchens

•Use White fluorescent bulbs to improve cool colors like gray and blue, use White bulbs to enhance warm colors like yellow, red, and beige or to balance wood cabinets.

•Try fluorescent under cabinet fixtures at the border of your cabinets to illuminate your workspace and decrease shadows in food preparation areas.

•Consider dense fluorescent down-lights for universal lighting to help reduce heat and electric bills.

Tips for Bedrooms

•Break the room into several zones by lighting and switch them separately, and then regulate accordingly for the mood you want to set.

•Provide light for reading by selecting swing-arm or flexible bedside lamps.

•Use night-lights to give guests the facility to see in the dark if they require getting up during the night.

Tips for Powder Rooms

•Place strip lights to either side of the mirror other than above to improve visibility and reduce shadows for shaving and applying make-up.

•Select a couple of decorative wall scones to flank the mirror in a powder room.

•To make the room more inviting, try to dim all incandescent and halogen sources and keep a candle burning.

When amusing family and friends at home, lighting for safety and security is forever a priority. Keep these tips in mind as you believe how best to protect your home – and your guests – from accidents and crime.

Poker mistakes and how to fix them

One of the most obvious things that beginners to poker do, is they play hands that have no chance of ever winning. You don't have to be a pro to know that if all you have is a high card of 5 to know that your in trouble Many beginners will be drawn in by the rush of gambling and play hands just for the thrill of playing. I would recommend that you play for that thrill but play smart.

Other beginners will play in games that are over there spending limit. I always say that you have to check that limit. You dont want to be left there betting money you dont have, or all of your money in one play and then lose it all. The thing about online poker is that its so easy to play because its exciting but you don't see your actual money, all you see is numbers. This makes poker online seem like a crazy game.

Many Poker players will get very emotionally involved. This is hazardous to your bank account. Anger sometimes comes from helplessness. When you are playing online and losing every game and your money along with it you have no way of getting it back, there is no person that sees you losing this money. It is just you and your screen. In many cases to try and receive there money back, many players will just keep playing until they are in debt.

Many beginners who play poker will try crazy things like walk into a casino backwards and throwing salt and rabbits feet for luck. Although, like in all gambling, there is a large portion of luck in poker. If you are a good player this will effect your winnings, but if you really don't know how to play you will never win, good luck or not. A good player will take the worst cards with the worst luck and turn it into the best hand in history

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. In poker it is the biggest mistake you can make. I have heard of people who have watched some pros playing poker on T. V. who where winning and just copied them at a casino That is not a good idea because, on T. V. the pros play in tournaments. These are much different situations then the ones in the casino's. In some cases the players they imitate are not actually good they actually just had a good day.

* take these tips and please use them and remember to refer to them when you find yourself doing any of these things.*

How brewer s yeast and msm clear constipation

Brewer's yeast can help to ease, reduce, or clear your constipation. If you can handle the taste, add it to your juices morning and night.

Brewer's Yeast contains all B vitamins, except B12. It also contains many vitamins, minerals and is high in amino acids.

When you first use brewer's yeast, it will create gas in your colon. Brewer's yeast supplements your good bacteria in your colon, increasing its count. This increase in good bacteria activates a battle between the good and bad bacteria creating gas as a by-product. Keep using brewer's yeast until the gas stops. This many take a few weeks but you are doing one of the best things you can do for your health - increasing good bacteria and reducing bad bacteria.

You can improve the benefit of using brewer's yeast by eating cultured yogurt or supplement good bacteria capsules between meals. You want to do this between meals so when you take your supplement your stomach does not put out to much HCl acid, which would kill the good bacteria.

If you have gout or are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors do not take brewers yeast.

MSM

MSM stands for methyl sulfonyl methane. MSM is organic sulfur. It provides many benefits in the body and is widely used as an anti-inflammatory and is especially useful for arthritis pain. MSM is used in all body cells and tissue including joint tissue.

MSM is especially good for relieving constipation.

MSM in your colon stops or blocks the activity of cholinesterase (ko-li-nes-ter-ace.)

What is cholinesterase?

Our nervous system is composed of a network of nerve cells, which start at the brain and end on all parts of our body. It is nerves that direct muscle contraction or expansion for your bowel movements. After the muscle completes its movement, an enzyme cholinesterase is released, which stops the muscle from moving again. Without the nerve signal blocking cholinesterase, the muscle would continue to move nonstop.

MSM is useful in clearing up constipation. It allows more colon contractions to occur thus helping you clear your constipation. When I have used MSM, up to 6000-8000mg each day, I have experienced up to 3-4 bowel movements each day. As MSM blocks the activity of cholinesterase, it allows more peristaltic action to occur in your colon.

Using 2000-4000 mg of MSM, can keep your bowel movements to 2-3 times each day. Of course, for each person the amount will be different.

The action that MSM has in your colon is useful for older people who have less nerve signals for peristalsis. Cholinesterase stops the few peristalsis signals older people have, thus creating constipation.

In S. W. Jacob, M. D., R. M. Lawrence M. D.,Ph. D, and M. Zucker book, The Miracle of MSM, 1999, they say,

"As a dietary supplement, MSM offers great potential for anyone with constipation. MSM produces a general "tonic" effect in the bowels and normalizes bowel function, particularly for older individuals. We have given MSM to nursing homes, where constipation is a common problem. The nurses have said that MSM works well for patients, even for individuals not responding to Metamucil or stool softeners."

Here's where you can buy MSM torpedo's. richdistributing. com/

Rich distributing has good quality products. I have always received good service and quick shipping. I recommend you buy the MSM torpedo tablet. It is a 1000 mg flat oval tablet. This allows you to take 4000-5000 mg of MSM by only taking 4-5 tablets. They are easy to swallow.

MSM has not been evaluated for effects during pregnancy so it is best not to use it during this time.

Get constipation relief by using both brewers yeast and MSM. MSM is easy to use. Brewers yeast takes a while to get use to.

How one can reduce american oil addiction

More than thirty years have passed since the Western countries experienced one of the most serious economic crisis - oil crises of the 70s. Undoubtedly some technological innovations have been introduced and economies of most of Western countries are not so oil dependant as in the middle of the seventies, nevertheless the economies of major developed nations still consume large amount of oil and energy resources. In my opinion few people would argue that due to the development of today’s world economy, the demand on the oil or energy resources can be saturated to the full extent in the nearest future. With rapid economic growth of China and more rapid economic growth in India, there are more than enough reasonable grounds to suggest that the demand on oil will be increasing in the next several years or even decades to come.

The largest economy of the world - American economy depends on oil and many energy resources as well. Despite the fact that the USA is one of the largest producers of oil in the world it still has to import large amount of oil and other energy resources, from various regions of the world. Current situation in the Middle Eastern region, where large deposits of oil are located is quite volatile and even despite the fact that most of the countries located in Arabian peninsula are widely regarded by many professionals as ones of the steadfast allies of the Western countries, there are few reasons to believe that situation will remain the same for a long period of time as dissatisfaction with the policy of the USA in the Middle East is growing and few Arab governments (even if the systems of the governments are not democratic one ) can ignore and disparage public opinions in their nations. Insurgents and other terrorist groups try, not unsuccessfully to damage oil refinery facilities in Iraq in order to obstruct the activities of American and Iraq governments to rebuild and strengthen democracy in this country; on the other hand instability in Iraq does not allow optimists to think that the price on oil will somehow decrease in the nearest future.

That is why so many specialists accepted favorably recent state of the union address by the president of the USA, in which he stated that the USA would decrease its consumption of oil and become less oil dependant nation. So how this problem can be resolved? What lessons actually were learned from the previous oil crisis? With such incredible advance in technology and mass communication would it not be possible to devise some plan to reduce the dependency of the USA on oil? Undoubtedly the USA has sufficient financial resources and enough technological capacities to resolve this problem; however it looks like the will to resolve it is lacking. Recently even much poor countries such as Brazil has introduced new energy saving technologies (for instance it tries to substitute ethanol for oil), many states have also made some notable progress in the development of solar energy technologies which would allow them to reduce their consumptions of traditional energy sources such as oil and energy. However these nations are rather the exception from the rule. President has recently proposed increasing of the financing of research projects which might lessen the impact of the looming crisis that the country could face in the next several years; yet one could argue that these research programs will not produce substantial results in the nearest future. So the only solution might be effective introduction of existing energy saving technologies that are already available in the USA and around the globe.

What are no credit check loans

Everyone knows that when you want to make a big purchase, you dont necessarily have to have the cash in hand in order to make it work. One of the things that you can do nowadays is to have a loan, which means that a bank or another institution is going to give you money, and then you can use the money to make your purchase. Then, you will have to pay the money back to the bank, a little bit each month, until the loan is paid off. The way that the bank makes its money is that they charge you interest, which is a fee for your loan.

However, most of the banks are going to go through a lengthy process to screen the people who are taking out loans with them. This means that they are going to check your credit, and if you have problems with credit cards or other debts, you might find that you are not going to be approved for the loan. If this is the case, you might want to think about no credit check loans, which can help you get loans.

What are they Well, basically, no credit check loans are going to be loans that you can take out where they arent going to check your credit first. This means that they arent going to deny you based on anything that would be in your credit report. For some people, this is very good because if you dont have good credit, it might be impossible to get a good loan. So, no credit check loans are going to be best for you.

Even if you have no credit, slow credit, or bad credit, you will be able to get one of these loans. In some cases, loans of this type can even be added to your credit. This will help you as you pay them back on time to repair your bad credit situation.

There are some downfalls to no credit check loans, however. You might find that with no credit check loans they have a very high interest rate, which is going to be their way of making up for the fact that they are taking a chance on you, when you might have bad credit. This means that you might have to put up with a high interest rate, or other kinds of fees.

However, even if it is hard to pay back your no credit check loans, and even if you find yourself paying a very high interest rate, you are going to end up doing great things for your credit if you can pay them off. This means that if you take out no credit check loans and pay them off, they will put good marks onto your credit, which is going to make it easier for you to get a real loan later on. So it might be a good idea for you to take out no credit check loans to get your feet back on the ground and your head above the water.

Mortgages in crisis

Who would have thought it? Certainly noone in the offices here would have. Do you remember those credit card companies who were so keen to throw money and endless supplies of plastic cards at you? Well now they want it all back! If you have then you'll no doubt be aware that there's no longer such a thing as a friendly loan. All those lenders that just a few years ago were so keen to throw funds at you now are insisting on conclusive proof that you have the means to pay them back. Some people are even finding that with a good credit rating, money in the bank and a healthy property they are having trouble getting a loan or credit card.

Is it the same for mortgages?

You betcha. Lenders are now nit picking at documentation and are even harder on appraisals with the chances of offering a 100% finance deal being less than slim. With the rise in rates it seems it is impossible or at best extremely hard to get a 100% equity loan any more. Worse still, should you decide to, with the possibility of falling house prices, borrowing against your ever shrinking equity isn't the best thing to do. We saw all this in the 80's and some people still aren't learning their lesson.

And credit cards?

Same old story, banks are looking to sure up their footing and it's the punter that pays the price to fund their revenue hike. So there's no coincidence that credit card terms are on the up too. So, if you take on board one thing from this article, then let it be this - pay your bills on time and check your bill to see that your APR hasn't suddenly shot up while you weren't looking. You'll probably be surprised at just how many people don't check their statements or online account.

OK, but what about that new car?

So I'm sounding like a stuck record now, but a quick look through the finance deals on offer reveals the same growth in lending rates, take a look at only twelve months ago and compare the rates.

Simple answer is get a fixed rate payback scheme and stick with it. Loading yourself with a rate which could or more likely 'will' go up over the next five years could end up crippling any free cash you have in your monthly pay packet, worse still you could end up wallowing in negative equity. It still pays to shop around whatever type of finance deal you are looking for and a lot of web sites have a friendly loan form to fill in which gives you a comparison snapshot of current deals.

With Christmas round the corner we're all going to need all the cash we can get to buy presents and so on, but the important thing to remember, and this may be cliche, but a loan is most probably not just for Christmas and you could well end up with it for life (or perhaps the rest of your mortgage's life).

San diego restaurants you can t miss

This article is the first of a series about San Diego Restaurants you can't miss. If you live in San Diego, or even more important, if you come to America's finest city as a visitor, I wanna give you some great options for dining in San Diego, California.

I live in San Diego for more than 6 years, I'm originally from Brazil, so please forgive me for any mistakes, because english is not my first language, but I'll try my best to comply with all the grammar rules.

Being an engineer from Brazil, I wanna start telling you about the brazilian cuisine and the brazilian restaurants available in San Diego.

One of the most tradicitional kind of restaurant/cuisine in Brazil, is what we call "churrascaria", which would be a bbq restaurant, but different than anything you can imagine, if you don't know how it is yet.

Of course we're talking meat here, so if you're a vegetarian I apologize, but It's not going to be a good choice for you. The Brazilian bbq steakhouse, whatever you wanna call it, It's an amazing dining experience, specially if you never tried.

So what is it, exactly?

It starts with a salad bar and a all you can eat buffet that includes most tradicional dishes from Brazil. That would be more than enough, but don't let that fool you, the fun is yet to begin.

At your table, there is a 'sign' with two sides, one red and one green. You use that to show the servers that you "want meat" when the green side is up or red, if you're not up to it. The servers will bring you more than 20 different kinds and/or cuts of meat, all from the bbq, that includes ribs, pork ribs, chicken, italian style sausage, turkey wrapped in bacon, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, skirt stake, try tip, try tip with garlic, top sirloin . . . Well, you get the picture.

They will come to your table, if your "sign" is green and keep serving you until you can't handle no more.

It's an amazing experience. I took a few american friends to this restaurant for their first time, and they loved it. They couldn't believe the amount of food and the quality of the food. Everything is delicius. Of course quality will vary from place to place, and even how many different kinds of meats they will serve, but the experience is similar.

In San Diego, there is two different Brazilian BBQ restaurants, both in downtown and actually, very close to each other.

One is called Rei do Gado, or the king of the cows. It's a good restaurant, It's been in business for a while now and on a saturday night you'll need reservations. Prices can be expensive for a saturday night, around $35 per person. One great tip is to go for a weekday lunch special, that costs aroun $13 a person, a much better deal. But don't get me wrong, It's worth it every dollar. Rei do Gado is located at 939 Fourth Avenue, in downtown San Diego, on the famous Gaslamp Quarter. The zipcode is 92101 if you wanna da a map search.

The other great choice is Samba Grill Churrascaria, also in downtown, and like they like to call, It's an endless parade of skewered meat! Samba Grill headquarter is in Salt Lake City, and the San Diego location is at 514, Horton Plaza, Gaslamp Quaters, Downtown San Diego (92101). Yes, it's inside the Horton Plaza mall.

So there you go, if you have never tried one of this brazilian bbq places, GO! If you're in San Diego, or coming to San Diego and looking for a good San Diego restaurant, try the Brazilian feast.

Is a reverse mortgage right for you

In the last few years reverse mortgages have been growing in popularity among the elderly. While there are numerous advantages associated with reverse mortgages there are also disadvantages as well. Before you take out a reverse mortgage, be sure you have the whole story.

First, understand what is involved in a reverse mortgage. Basically, this type of mortgage allows you to transfer a portion of your equity into cash without the need to take on an additional monthly bill, as is the case with a regular home equity loan, or sell your home. With a reverse home mortgage, unlike a regular mortgage, you receive money for the equity in your home and are not obligated to pay it back until you are no longer living in your home. It should be understood that the money will need to be paid back; either when you sell your home, move to another principal residence or die. In the event that you have a lot of equity in your home but you’re having difficulty meeting your monthly financial obligations, this can be a good option. Other advantages include the fact that the money you receive from the reverse mortgage is typically tax-free because it will have to be repaid. In addition, depending on which lender you choose, there are typically no income restrictions.

There are regulations in order to qualify for a reverse mortgage. You must be at least 62 years of age and live in the home as your principal residence.

There are three basic types of reverse mortgages. These mortgages are single-purpose reverse mortgages, federally-insured reverse mortgages that are also known as Home Equity Conversion Mortgages or HECMs and proprietary reverse mortgages.

Single purpose reverse mortgages are offered by state and local government agencies as well as some non-profit organizations. One of the major advantages to this type of reverse mortgage is that it will not generally have high costs. Unfortunately, their availability is limited depending on where you live. In addition, there may be regulations specified by the lender regarding what you can use the proceeds of the loan for. The most common purposes include property taxes and home repairs and improvements. This type of loan may also have income restrictions; meaning you can’t make more than a certain amount of money in order to qualify.

A HECM will generally have higher cost than a single purpose mortgage and those costs are usually up front. On the flip side, they are more widely available and typically do not have income requirements. In addition, there are no purpose limitations. Because HECMs are backed by HUD you will be required to meet with a counselor from a housing counseling agency who will explain all the details regarding the loan to you. The amount of money you can borrow using a HECM will depend on your age, the value of your home, where you live and current interest rates. This type of loan can be quite flexible; providing options such as a line of credit as well as fixed monthly payments.

Because proprietary reverse mortgages are backed by private loan companies, the options with this type of loan can vary. Usually this type of loan will have a higher cost than a HECM.

What are the most common asthma triggers

An asthma attack is often triggered by exposure to an allergen of some sort – an asthma trigger. Identifying a food or environmental asthma trigger can help you avoid it – and lessen the risk of an acute asthma attack. While there are some people who have food allergies or are especially sensitive to particular things, there are some items that are well-known, common asthma triggers. By controlling your exposure to an asthma trigger, you can reduce the severity and frequency of your asthma symptoms.

Dust Mites

Dust mites are one of the most common asthma triggers known. Dust mites are tiny insects that live on sloughed off skin cells and excrete a substance that tends to trigger attacks in many people who have asthma. Dust mites breed and grow in mattresses, pillows, stuffed animals, carpets, draperies – anywhere that is soft and offers somewhere for them to burrow and hide. You can control dust mites in your environment by using covers on mattresses and pillows, getting rid of stuffed animals in bedrooms, and remove carpets and draperies.

Dust

Separate from dust mites, dust itself can be an asthma trigger because it’s a bronchial irritant. Wipe down surfaces with a damp cloth to keep from scattering dust when cleaning, and use a canister (or water-filtered) vacuum cleaner to avoid spewing dust from the carpet into the air to be inhaled.

Mold

Mold spores are another asthma trigger found in many homes. To keep the exposure to mold down, wipe down bathroom tiles regularly with bleach or a disinfectant, dry clean laundry immediately and reduce moisture in the air with a dehumidifier.

Cockroach Parts

Cockroach litter and parts contain an irritant/allergen that is an asthma trigger for many children. While most people associate cockroaches with dirt and poor housekeeping, cockroaches are just as happy in very clean homes. Roach traps and other insecticides can help keep the cockroach population down.

Pet Dander

Shed skin cells from pets can be one of the most virulent of asthma triggers. If you can’t bring yourself to part with your pet, at least keep it out of the family sleeping areas to reduce the chance of exposure to pet dander.

Pollen

At certain times of the year, pollen can become a pervasive asthma trigger. During hay fever season, particular if you live in an area that also has poor air quality. Many newspapers and radio stations publish a daily air quality rating. Make a point of knowing when the air quality is unhealthy and avoid going outside, or at least engaging in any vigorous activity outdoors.

Cold Air

Cold dry air can trigger an asthma attack in people who are sensitive to it. It may be because the cold tends to dry out bronchial tissues more quickly than warm moist air. In any case, wearing a scarf or face mask in cold temperatures, particularly if you’re exercising at all, can help reduce the incidence of asthma attacks due to cold.

Exercise

Exercise can sometimes be an asthma trigger. The reason, doctors think, is most likely that during exercise most people breathe more quickly and shallowly, drying out lung and bronchial tissues more quickly.

Food Allergies

Food and other allergies can also trigger asthma attacks. These are far more individualized, though peanuts are one of the more common. Obviously, if you’re aware of food allergies, avoiding them can help reduce your risk of having an asthma attack.

Protect your home business from extreme weather

Weather can have a devastating affect on your home business. In the summer of 2007 the UK experienced much higher rainfall than normal. May to July was the wettest 3 months since records began. Around 50,000 houses and 7000 businesses suffered flood damage.

As the rain kept coming our flood defenses struggled to cope. Many homes had disruption in their power supply, communications were knocked out and some even had problems with their fresh water supply.

Extreme weather caused by climate change seems to be happening more regularly. What can you do to prevent some of the damages caused by freak weather? You could start off with making sure that you have adequate home business insurance.

Prepare for the worst by having a Business Continuity Plan. Keep regular backups of crucial data and have plans ready to get your business back on track quickly after a mini disaster. Buy basic equipment like torches, batteries & candles and invest in a small fire extinguisher. Keep some rock salt handy in case of snow or ice.

Make sure all your windows and doors are sealed properly. If you have an old chimney, make sure it is still secure and if you do not need it anymore then remove it altogether.

Get an electrician in to see if any measures can be taken to protect you from power disruption or surges. Simple measures like having the right cable, decent fuse box and power sockets at least 12 inches above floor level could make a huge difference.

Ask your local expert plumber for advice. Check your drains to make sure there are no blockages. You can install non return valves in your drains and toilets so that water can only flow one way.

If you have large trees growing beside the house, make sure the branches are trimmed back, especially the ones closest to your house, windows, power lines and telephone lines.

Keep an eye on the weather forecasts and if there are storms forecast for your area then make sure you take some simple measures like stowing away any loose items in the garden including garden furniture.

Unplug all electrical equipment and make sure they are stored as high as possible. If you have expensive rugs on the floors, roll them up and store somewhere safe. Remove items of sentimental value and take them upstairs.

If after all your preparation you still experience some damage contact your insurance company immediately. Take pictures of any damages before you start tidying up again. If at all possible wait until they have managed to inspect the damage before the big clean up.

Climate change is happening. There is evidence everywhere. The glaciers are melting, oceans are heating up and we are experiencing higher incidences of extreme weather. In Europe this year records tumbled. Dresden recorded the highest rainfall whilst France was hit by an unprecedented heatwave in modern times. Thousands of people died as a direct result of the heatwave.

The majority of the world scientists agree that unless steps are taken now it might become too late to reverse it. We might struggle to influence our politicians but by taking some basic steps our businesses can be better prepared for the future.

Good landing page design tips

What is a landing page

That’s been a lot of talk about landing page these days. So, what’s a landing page? It's the page your website visitor arrived at after clicking a link. The link could be on any page on your website or pay per click advertising or banner ads or keyword search.

The goal of landing page is to cause your visitors to take definite action. You don't want your visitors to leave until you get them to do what you want them to do. To click on the buy button, to sign up for an affiliate program, to download a free ebook or software, to sign up for a course, or to subscribe to your free newsletter.

The landing page is a direct marketing copy. Your visitors landed here through a link on your webpage, an ad, a keyword search, pay per click advertising, banner ads, and now you want to convert them.

Here are some tips to design a good landing page...

1.Content Relevance

Your landing page content must be relevant to what people were looking for when they applied the click through. The closer the match is the higher the chances of conversion.

2.Be Concise

Net writing is different than offline writing. Generally, when people surf the Internet they give short attention span to what they are reading. So be concise. When visitors arrive at your landing page they are already predisposed to buy, or they want to get more information of your product or service.

By all means give them information but be concise. Don't use more than three sentences to communicate a point. Think through and concise what you want to say. Use bulleted list to communicate the benefits of your product or service.

3.Get straight to the point

The landing page is a highly customized marketing copy for your product or service or affiliate product or service. Don't distract your visitors with advertisements, links to other web pages. Don't let your visitors wade through a whole bunch of hosh posh before they get to want they want.

4.Focus

Dedicate one landing page to only one product or service. Don't try to promote multiple products (unless they are of the same product group)or services on one page. Create separate landing pages and campaigns if you have multiple products or services to promote. Focus on one product or one product group on each landing page.

5.Be Factual

Use facts and figures instead of generalities.

General: Prices Reduced

Factual: Prices Reduced by 20 percent

6.Clear Call to Action

Tell your visitors what you want them to do. Buy now, click here to download, fill in name and email address to subscribe or whatever. Keep all call to action text in bold.

7.Readable Text

Sure, there's nothing much to look at a page with white background and black fonts. But it's definitely easier to read the text than a red

background with black fonts. Remember, it's the words that sell. Your website visitors must be able to read your text with ease.

8.Navigation Links

Not at all, if you could help it. The only link you want your website visitors to click on your landing page is the call to action link.

9.Graphics and Images

Keep visual effects to a minimum unless you are running an online audio or video business, real estate business, or selling holiday destinations. Keep in mind that for direct marketing it's the words that sell. Graphics and images serve only to enhance your text communication, not cloud it.

10.Grammatical and Spelling Errors

Check through your text and correct all grammatical and spelling errors. Otherwise it gives your website visitors a negative impression of you and the company you represent. Once visitors have a negative impression, it becomes difficult to convince them of the product or service that you are promoting. First impression counts a lot.

11.Make it personal

Make it personal to connect with your visitors. Use a lot of You and Your in your text.

12.Make your text clear and simple to understand

Avoid colloquialism or jargons. Use terms and phrases that people readily understood. Use short sentences, and phrase them in the active voice.

A good landing page will always sport good conversion rate as compared to a poor one. Take the time to think and rethink, work and rework your landing pages. Don't make the mistake of just optimizing for the search engines. You need to optimize your landing pages for humans too. Ultimately, it is humans that give you the sales.

10 tips to buy real estate without breaking your budget

1. Get pre-approved for your home loan. This means, fill out a loan application and go through the process of securing financing. That way, when you’re ready to seriously evaluate real estate, you’ll know exactly how much home you can afford. And you can prove to a seller that your offer is sincere.

2. Explore creative financing options. During the home loan pre-approval process, ask about ways to get creative with your financing. Low down payment options, first and second mortgage combinations and first time buyer programs might help you afford more funding. Many lenders are now offering interest-only home mortgages; just make sure you thoroughly evaluate the terms for this type of home loan. Down payment grants are also available in some instances and might be worth investigating or discussing with your realtor.

3. Sell your existing home first. Although selling your existing home before finding new real estate to buy can be a little nerve wracking, any inconvenience will be offset by your ability to make an offer with cash in hand. Contingent purchases are not the best when negotiating to buy a home. Having your financing in order and your bags packed will give you the advantage in a competitive market.

4. Look for vacant real estate. Perhaps a seller’s job has transferred him out of the area. Or maybe a family purchased a new home before putting their existing one on the market. In any case, a vacant home could be just the deal for a savvy home buyer, so have your realtor look for vacant property in your preferred neighborhoods. And keep in mind, the longer a house stays empty, the greater your negotiating power will be.

5. Consider cosmetic fixers. If you’re handy with a paintbrush, a toolset and gardening equipment, consider buying real estate in need of cosmetic fixing. Property that lacks curb appeal needs minor handiwork or the yard overhauled could end up being the home of your dreams for a price you can afford. You just need to look beyond the ho-hum to see the potential of a cosmetic fixer.

6. Buy a home that’s a major remodel project. If you want to live on Lake Washington, but can’t afford a $2M home mortgage, consider buying a dilapidated cottage on a fabulous lot with western exposure. In time you’ll need to gut the existing home and build from the ground up or contract significant home improvements. But in the end your property value will skyrocket. And if your carpentry and other construction skills are well-developed, you can save even more and accrue “sweat equity” during your remodel by doing much of the work yourself.

7. Don’t discount bank foreclosures. One person’s loss could be your gain if you buy real estate in foreclosure. Although the search for a decent foreclosure may take a while, your realtor should be able help. The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ( hud. gov/) can be an excellent resource for foreclosed properties. Because HUD houses are sold at market value, your best bet will be homes that need cosmetic work or even major repair.

8. Land with a manufactured home. Sometimes, to buy a home on a budget, you need to look beyond convention. Even if your wish is to buy real estate, you may have to settle for a piece of property in an outlying area with a mobile or manufactured home. Discuss this option with your real estate agent and try to keep an open mind about this possibility.

9. An older, smaller home. Older homes are typically priced much less than newer construction and don’t tend to create buyer bidding wars. If you can enjoy life in an older and smaller home in a neighborhood or suburb off the beaten path, this could be your ticket to real estate ownership.

10. The cheapest house in the best neighborhood. You have your heart set on a specific – and expensive – neighborhood. Maybe it’s the schools that you’re interested in. Or perhaps it’s the close proximity to downtown or the waterfront. In any case, a budget-savvy buyer will look for the least expensive home for sale in the neighborhood. If you’re not in a hurry, you can even play the waiting game to see what properties come on the market. Your real estate agent can be a real asset in this case by investigating potential sellers.

Buying real estate without breaking your budget will require research and compromise. On moving day, however, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that your homework paid off!

Secured home loans uk

Will A Secured Home Loans UK Deal Put You Home At Risk?

Some people fail to take advantage of the cost effectiveness of a secured home loans UK deal simply because they are worried about the risks involved. Whilst it is true that you do use your home as a guarantee to secure this kind of borrowing this isn’t as bad as you might think. And, the low interest rates that you can get with this kind of loans deal are superb and could potentially save you an awful lot of money.

The fact is – if you currently have a mortgage on your property – that you already have a secured loan in place. If you default on your mortgage repayments then you risk losing your home in any case – but this didn’t stop you taking out the mortgage in the first place and it shouldn’t stop you taking out this similar type of loan either. You’ve already done it once after all.

And, you need to remember that a lender can still chase you for money if you stop repayments on an unsecured deal which could just as easily put your property at risk if they go through the courts to recover your debts.

The key thing to do whenever you borrow money is to make sure that you can afford your repayments. This way you have the least possible chance of things going wrong somewhere down the line. You may, of course, find yourself financially strapped at some point if you unexpectedly lose your job or become too ill to work for a while, for example. But, even these eventualities can be covered. If you back up your secured home loans UK deal with a loan protection insurance policy, for example, then you don’t have to worry about this stuff at all.

This kind of insurance policy will simply make sure that you can carry on repaying your loans if you do find that you are not earning money for some reason or other. So, you get an extra guarantee here in case things go wrong. You will have to pay for this kind of protection but you’ll probably find that the savings you’ll make with lower interest rates by taking out a secured home loans UK package in the first place will cover that more than comfortably.

So, if you think smart and take out extra protection then you should have no issues with taking out a secured home loans UK package at all – all you’ll have is low cost benefits. Your primary concern here should be to get the best deal you can when it comes to borrowing money and these kinds of loan really are considered to be the most economical for the majority of home owners. One last tip – if you want a secured home loans UK deal that really will keep your costs low then use the Internet to search for rates as there are some great bargains out there if you can apply online.

Leadership skills delegating responsibility

Support Strategic Objectives, by: identifying roles and responsibilities necessary to support strategic objectives; defining roles, responsibilities, and degrees of authority, needed by individuals and teams; designing policies and procedures for the management of delegated activities. The purpose of this is to review the distribution of roles and responsibilities at the senior level. The aim of the review is to ensure that the distribution is balanced and appropriate. This is also an opportunity to make certain that the senior, executive level management structure is appropriate for the strategic direction being taken. If mismatches are discovered at this point, then the leader(s) have an opportunity to adjust the organisational structure, at this level, to better match the demands of the strategies.

Make Decisions On Activity To Delegate, by: deciding which areas of work, routine activity, stand alone projects, absence cover, key operational decisions, emergency or business disaster events, and strategic level decisions, should have responsibility or authority delegated to specific managers. This is an essential stage, but a difficult one. It involves forecasting and scenario planning, in order to determine which activities, and in which circumstances, should responsibility and authority be given. It requires the delegating leader(s) to analyse thoroughly the planned activity and potential events, in order to identify where delegation should take place, and to whom it should be given to.

Selecting Managers And Specialists To Delegate To, by: identifying the current roles, responsibilities and authority of those individuals and teams; evaluating the skills, abilities, and development potential, of existing (senior management) individuals and teams; assessing the degree of responsibility and authority that can be given to individuals and teams; identifying coaching and-or training needs to prepare individuals and teams for delegation. Carefully profiling the existing senior management individuals is critical, because delegation will not be effective if it is given to an individual who is not capable of using the delegated powers effectively. Where gaps in capability are identified, training or coaching should be provided to fill that gap. If the corrective action needs to be long term, then the delegation should be delayed until that process is complete.

Agree Responsibilities, Levels Of Authority, And Objectives, by: identifying delegated responsibilities and levels of authority for each individual manager, specialist, and team; discussing these with the individual managers and specialists; agreeing the degree of delegation; agreeing the objectives delegated to the individual. One of the most critical stages, this is where the details of the delegated responsibility and authority are explained, discussed and agreed. It is at this point that the leader(s) should aim to gain commitment to the delegated responsibilities and authority, to targets and deadlines, both qualitative and quantitative.

Clarifying The Boundaries, by: defining the limits, the boundaries, of the delegated powers; discussing and agreeing these boundaries; agreeing action that should be taken when the boundaries are reached. This must be treated as a separate stage in the process, and applies to both the leader and the manager being given delegated powers. The leader must understand and accept that delegation does not mean abandoning responsibility. The ultimate responsibility lies with the leader, the one delegating to others. Delegated powers must be managed and supported by the leader. The individual being given delegated powers must be clear about the limits of those powers, and understand that when that boundary, that limit, is reached, they should refer back to the one who delegated to them.

Remove Or Reduce Barriers To Effective Delegation, by: identifying organisational policies, procedures, structures, practices, or cultural aspects, which work against effective delegation; discuss ways in which barriers could be weakened or removed; implement changes or adjustments to reduce or eliminate identified barriers. Most organisations have visible and hidden barriers that inhibit and hinder effective management. The role of the leader(s) is to introduce direction, strategies, structures, policies, procedures, and influences, into the organisation, so that managers and specialists can operate in a culture which encourages creativity, innovation, high quality performance, and success. In parallel with this, the leader(s) must also encourage managers and specialists to take local responsibility for activities and decision making. To do this, barriers and constraints must be reduced to a minimum, leaving an appropriate level of controls in place.

Provide Support For Delegated Activity, by: discussing and agreeing the level and nature of support needed; adopting a leadership style that provides appropriate availability, support and guidance to those with delegated responsibilities, but also allowing them the freedom to carry out the delegated powers without unnecessary interference; reviewing levels of personal support and adjusting that support appropriately; consistently behaving in a manner that inspires and motivates those who have been delegated to. There are two most common reasons for delegation to fail. One is that the analytical and decision making process was not thorough enough, leading to the degree of delegation being inappropriate. However, the other most common reason for failure is that the leader delegates and then does not provide appropriate support to the manager being delegated to. Once the leader has delegated, they must then provide an appropriate level of personal support, encouragement, and resources, to the individual. This support should include: publicising the delegated powers to relevant individuals and teams internally; informing other stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, clients, of the delegated powers; coaching, mentoring, providing training, as appropriate.

Reward Performance, by: openly praising consistently high quality operational performance and exceptional event performance; building performance on delegated powers into the organisation’s performance appraisal system. An important part of the process because delegated powers are, by default, in the highest group of demands made on the individual, and when performed well, are deserving of recognition and praise. Rewards do not have to be substantial, nor monetary in nature. Recognition and praise will be appreciated by the receiving individual and by their teams and other observers. The leader who delegated the powers must ensure that, when appropriate, high levels of performance in delegated areas, are achieved.

Monitor, Review, And Adjust, by: implementing regular reviews of the delegation process and of individual instances; reviewing the appropriateness of current and planned delegation, against the most current strategic objectives; taking corrective action where necessary. The leader(s) delegating powers to others should implement a monitoring and review process that requires them to review the whole process, and individual performance. Individual performance should be monitored continuously, with formal review points at least quarterly. The overall process should be reviewed at least every six months, at which point the success of the process should be evaluated against the original objectives and then adjusted to take into account changes in operational activity and in strategic direction.

In Summary: Leaders must delegate, but must delegate effectively. The most successful leaders treat delegation as an essential strand of their leadership approach. Senior management structures, processes, and objectives are reviewed to ensure suitability for delegation to take place. Areas of work, activities, routine and event-specific decisions, are analysed, evaluated, and where appropriate the decision is made to delegate responsibility and authority. Delegated powers are explained, discussed, and agreed, and measurable objectives set. The leader then builds on this by adopting a consultative, supporting, coaching, role, as appropriate for each of the individuals delegated to. Individual performance on applying delegated powers is monitored and adjusted as necessary. Finally, the performance of the delegation process itself is monitored and reviewed by the leader(s) and the senior management team, to ensure that it remains compatible with the strategic direction being taken by the organisation.

Medical tourism the next big thing in indian healthcare industry

Medical tourism is the act of touring different countries or nations around the world to receive medications like dental, neurosurgery or surgical care and various other forms of specialized treatments. Medical tourism or healthcare facilitation is very cost effective and has grown to become very popular with time. Due to much technological advancement and improvement, standards of care and the affordability of international travel have become the primary factors leading to the popularity of medical tourism.

In the past few years, the costs of medical treatment or health care have soared high in industrialized nations and developed countries. And with this rise in health care costs, people from USA, Europe, Canada and Australia are seeking alternatives to reduce their expenses and build financial savings. This has prompted the people of developed countries serve as medical tourists.

Among all the nations where people are going for low cost medical treatments, India has emerged as a significantly favorable destination or a top hot spot. India is, now, one of the leading countries promoting medical tourism. With an increasing number of outside patients flocking to India for low cost medical treatments, India’s medical tourism industry is doing pretty fine.

The focal attraction for the medical tourists is the price factor or medical costs. Medical tourists believe that, in India, the cost of surgery or other treatments is one tenth of what it is in European countries or in developed nations. The concept of medical tourism is new to many people and it is up to them whether or not they will find the desired medical treatment at a minimum cost. Medical technology has improved drastically in Indian hospitals and their standards have increased too, being at par with American and European countries.

Among all the various treatments that are done in India, the commonest are heart surgery, Lasik eye surgery, cosmetic surgery, neurosurgery and dental care. India has some of the best hospitals and treatment centers in the world with the best facilities. Infrastructure, technology advancement, outstanding doctors and medical staffs, world-class hospitals, all these have made India the prime location or the top choice for medical tourists seeking overseas health care.

The highlights of medical tourism in India are as follows:

· India has world-class medical facilities, with excellent staff in all areas of medical care

· Consultation with leading doctors or specialists

· Indian hospitals are equipped with the latest electronic and medical diagnostic equipments

· Low cost medical treatment or health checkups

· Luxurious rooms within affordable ranges

· Accommodation for attendants or accompanying family members are provided

· Ayurveda Therapy and Spa resorts available for relaxing and refreshing

· Exclusive Indian cuisines, Indian movies, Indian music and Indian dance

· Diversified cultural heritage in the different states

· Some top tourist destination spots like Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Qutab Minar etc.

· Holidaying, family reunions, festive occasions and medical checkups—all in one tour to India

Although there are many countries giving world-class medical assistance to the medical tourists who are seeking overseas healthcare or low cost healthcare, India attracts the most. Since it offers a beautiful holiday destination, apart from having a wide variety of low cost medical treatments, good hospitals and medical staffs, it is the foremost choice among people. Medical tourism India or health tourism India is an emerging concept whereby people from all over the world visit India for their medical and relaxation needs.

History and usage of chinese herbalism

This form of treatment has been made use of for a far longer period of time than most people realize. It originated many centuries ago, but it has only become properly recognized in many western societies within the last few years. This form of treatment is where herbs and plants are used to provide the body with support in order to combat many adverse states. The adverse states can be divided into different types according to the energies that are affected by this state and different plants and herbs can be used to treat each adverse condition depending on what type of energy is affected or is causing the adverse state.

Each herb and plant that is used can have a different energy and this can determine which of the herbs can be most effective when attempting to combat the adverse condition of the body. There are four energies within the body and they are classified according to their heat, there are cold energies and hot energies as well as warm energies and cool energies. The exact symptoms of a disruption of the body's energies can depend greatly on which is the energies has been affected. The plants that are used are typically of the opposite heat to the energy that is being disrupted or is the cause of the disruption.

There are many herbs that are used as part of a mixed selection of herbs in Chinese herbalism where there is one primary herb and other subordinate herbs that can help to provide support for the primary herb. There are many different ways in which a selection of different herbs can react to one another. It is these reactions that determine which herbs should be used in a selection together since a positive reaction between the herbs can provide the body with a range of benefits especially helping to provide support the immune system and help to rebalance the energies within your body. Some herbs may have negative reactions when used together so herbalists need to train for many years to have sufficient knowledge of herbs so that they can be aware of what reaction will occur when using particular herbs together.

This form of treatment is guided by the Chinese philosophies of health and philosophies regarding the body. This influences how problems within the body are dealt with and what manner of treatment can produce the greatest results as well as what ingredients are best to use in any given situation or condition. According to health philosophy the body has three physical components and two non-physical components, blood, Qi and moisture are the three physical components while Spirit and essence are the two non-physical components. It is the interaction of these five components that have such a large impact on the health of the body.

The selection of each herb to be used in the treatment of a particular ailment is largely influenced by which of the components in the body is affected as well as which energies within the body are effected. There are some plants and herbs that may have a beneficial effect on the energy being affected but have a negative effect on the component being affected. Therefore all ingredients to be used in a course of Chinese herbalism must be checked to ensure that they provide beneficial effects for both the components and the energies within the body.

Open hand basics - part 1 of 2

The teet lung pai system taught at Clear's Silat Schools includes pentjak and kuntao silat, tai chi, and aspects of shaolin chuan kung-fu, hsing-I and paqua. Although these systems are diverse in both origin and substance, they share one key similarity - the open hand concept. This article will concentrate on the benefits of the open hand strike in general and five ways to strike in particular, as well as how they are utilized in specific styles.

1. Whipping Hits

Chi-petjut - South Javanese silat, monkey and some tai chi;

2. Slaps with arm weight from elbow or shoulder (The way most people slap)

Wing chun, choy li fut, praying mantis, tiger, tjimande, and tjikalung;

3. Open hand striking with waist power (all of the styles mentioned above)

4. Whole body power open hand striking

Hsing-I, paqua, tai chi, Tibetan systems and drunken style, kilap, kilat, pukolan, and tjimande.

5. Internal power Hitting

Open and Shut Case

These systems form the backbone of teet lung pai. The open hand offers many benefits over fist techniques. Compared to punches, open hand techniques are said to be faster, cover more surface area, deliver more knock-out power by transmitting greater shock and offering greater versatility.

Open hand techniques can become grabs, finger pokes, or fists faster and easier than fists can become something else. An open hand can also be used to defend against an elbow or knee while a fist would be powerless against such a strike.

The soft open hand molds itself around the hard parts, and the force of the hit is transmitted through the skin and into the hard inner core. Stylists use boards, bricks, hand-held striking pads and heavy bags to check the power, speed, and accuracy of their techniques. They have found out that the small bones in the fist will not stand up to the power that the vast majority of open hand strikes can generate. This is not to say that the fist will always be weak and slow. It is just that all things being equal in the paper - scissors, rock game, the fist looses to the open hand most of the time.

Whip It Up!

The whip is a technique that can be found in most Silat styles. Some styles that commonly incorporate this technique are Kuntao, Chi-Petjut, Madi, and Tai Chi. In America, Kuntao Silat master Guy Savelli has developed the art of the whip hand to a high level. His ability to whip strike someone to the chest, disrupts their nervous system to such an extent, their vision often becomes blurred. If full body power had been added, the subject might have died.

Among excellent teachers of the monkey form are si tai gung Tyrone Jackson, whose distance / reaching techniques allow him to hit a person from a distance of six to ten feet away and ba pak Willem de Thouars for rapid fire monkey strikes.

Also, the art of Kuntao is kung-fu that is practiced in Indonesia and Malaysia. There are over 250 Kuntao styles. Most of these styles have been modified over the centuries because of the exposure and mixture with Silat. We prefer to call these modified versions Kuntao Silat. The mixtures of these systems in Java and Bali occur frequently enough that Malays think of the two as interchangeable. In his book The Weapons and Fighting arts of Indonesia, Don F Draeger makes the same kind of reference to "...Pentjak Bali (sometimes even Kuntao Bali)...)

There are Chinese and Indonesian styles that use slaps with arm weight from the elbow or shoulder. They include:

Wing Chun -- Tan sao and press down.

Praying Mantis -- Wu sao then punch.

Tiger -- Sitting in a booth-arm wrapping technique and / or choy li fut

Tjimande -- Juru 1 (first half) and passing techniques

Tjkalong -- Cross grab and underarm elbow break.

To Be Continued in "Open Hand Basics - Part 2"

Mobile phones making the world smaller

The field of communication is experiencing a great deal of innovative changes that are creating a global village. Before the invention of the telephone, it was unimaginable that one could ever actually talk to somebody even twenty miles away. In the world of today, we can't even bring ourselves to picture what life would be like if we could not speak across oceans and continents.

Less than twenty years ago a telephone was attached to a wall and could move only as far as the telephone cord. Today, even in our homes we are able to discuss about about the weather and everything else under the sun from not just the drawing rooms, but also from the kitchen, the bathroom, the attic, or any other place you can picture. The credit for all this went to the cordless phone.

There was a time when the car phone was seen as being a major advance. Who would have imagined that there would come a time when you could talk while you were going from one place to another. Yet, even with cordless phones and car phones, we continued to be attached to something – in this case, the house and the car respectively.

Then the big boom happened! We saw the invention of something that heralded great changes in the way in which the world carried out its communication. The age of the mobile phone had now begun. The contrast was great between this era and the era when letters had to be posted whenever some message of great importance was involved. Back in the days when post was the only way to communicate quickly, one could never have imagined receiving an instant response. But now, as mobile phones continue to boss over our lives, the buzzword is instant communication.

We are the children of the communication era, and are able to watch the rise of newer and newer modes of communication. Certainly, the most deserving representative of this global village is the mobile phone. We are no longer tied down by telephone cords. We are able to talk to our near and dear ones, our colleagues and mentors, and whoever else we would like to even while going from one place to another.

Gone are the days of trying to recall important phone numbers. We have passed the days of looking for a pay phone if we want to make a call. The good old mobile phone is ever ready to make whatever call we want it to!

Not just a diary

I don’t have a blog other than these articles on blog. m6.net which is the blog site of the company that I work for. I’ve started a few, same as I’ve started to keep a diary a few times, but I just don’t stick with them. Perhaps deep down I doubt anyone cares about my day-to-day life, and I’m not anxious to post my deep and intense innermost feelings. I don’t wear my heart on my sleeve, and I don’t want to post it on the Internet.

However, for those of a blogger bent who want to share their lives with others, it’s an excellent idea. You can share your life with the world, letting people on other continents know what it’s like to live where you live, and what it’s like to be who you are. Blogs are good for non-bloggers too, letting people on the other side of an issue, or a war, or the planet, read about what life is like on your side. A few years ago I met a woman with a terrible secret which sounded like some insane conspiracy theory. I tried to organize a blog for her since she wanted to share her information, and because I wanted to hear about any further developments. Sadly, I was unable to set it up that day and subsequently lost touch with her.

Oddly enough, blogs have grown beyond being a window into the blogger’s life, becoming more in the realm of entertainment. A blogger friend of mine won’t be able to write in her blog for two weeks. If it were just a diary she could just say, ‘See you in two weeks’. Instead, she is having two guest bloggers fill in. Isn’t a guest blogger like putting two chapters of someone else’s autobiography in the middle of your own? I assume that the guest bloggers will give a window into THEIR own lives, and I suspect, they’ve already proven themselves to her in their own blogs, so her ‘readers’ could simply read their blogs for two weeks. Clearly blogs are more involved than I realized.

Blogs can make you famous or let you be anonymous. You can vent your concerns about yourself to an anonymous world. Or, you can get help from strangers who may judge you but won’t be able to tell anyone you know what their judgment is. This is of course unless your friends read your blog, which I consider as part of the point of having a blog. Then they will read your venting, and any strangers’ replies to it no matter how judgmental they are. On the other side of the equation, your friends can help without you having to go through the trauma of telling them directly. Plus, any of the strangers reading your blog might notice something wrong that you aren’t aware of. A medical student might tell you what the tingling in the soles of your feet might mean so that you can consult a doctor before it gets more serious. A German housewife might notice that alcohol features more and more in your life, or that you seem to be shifting between joy and sorrow with worrying regularity. More than a window on someone’s life or simple entertainment, blogs are another way to connect with both friends and strangers, anywhere, anytime.

Blogging tips for starting a business

A very popular way to become better known in wellness, fitness, and nutritional supplements is through business blogging. A business blog is slightly different than other traditional blogging styles that many people are familiar with. Below you will find some handy starting business blogging tips that you can use immediately.

When you are starting business blogging it is important to set your blog up on a site that is already popular in the search engines. This provides you with a stronger chance of other people finding the blog and you have to spend less time promoting it.

Once you have determined where you will host your new business blog, think about the purpose of it. Starting the business is not going to be successful if you do not have a goal or purpose set out for the blog.

Some questions to ask yourself when deciding a goal for the blog include: Are you promoting a particular product such as a nutritional supplement? Will you be blogging to establish yourself as expert in a particular field such as the fitness industry? Are you going to use the blog primarily to connect with other people in the industry and network?

Starting business blogging requires you to think about a target audience. Are you going to be writing posts that will encourage people to purchase a specific product? Are you going to be writing posts that are full of the industry jargon and very technical?

Deciding a target audience will help you decide how to actually write your posts. For example, if you are going to be targeting potential buyers you want to write posts that will excite them about a particular set of products. On the other hand, if you are going to be writing for other people in the industry, you would want to write posts that contain industry jargon, informational posts, and posts with research findings. Knowing your audience is a key to successful blogging.

Once you begin, it is helpful to set up links with other blogs and websites. For example, if you are selling vitamins as your goal for your blog, you can find other blogs that provide information about vitamin benefits. You are then linking with someone that is not competing for the same buying market and their blog posts will compliment the purpose of your business blog.

You should spend time responding to comments left on your new business blog. Monitoring comments is an excellent way to network with other people. You can also provide answers to any questions that might arise as a result of a particular post you made. Some people leave spam and inappropriate comments. Make sure to delete these off of the business blog to keep the blog clean and looking professional.

Starting business blogs is a great way to begin a newsletter. Not everyone that visits will see your blog on a daily basis. You can compile each month’s blog postings into an email newsletter that others can subscribe too. This will increase regular readership as well as help you make additional contacts in your niche.

Starting business blogs is an excellent way to network market products with a soft-sell approach and it provides more information to the public about your industry field and to create newsletters. Take advantage of business blogs to help mold and shape the future of your company.

Investing in gold

It may seem old fashioned, but it is still possible to place some of your wealth and prospects into the ancient practice of hoarding gold. Gold has been the standard of wealth for centuries, in almost every culture that requires some system of barter, from Europe to Asia to South America. The metal has been known to launch expeditions for new lands, start wars, and to be the cause of the annihilation of entire cultures.

The reasons for the world’s fascination with gold have been the same from the first item that a person exchanged one good for another until the present day. Gold is rare, easy to move, does not go bad or decay in any way, and it can be broken down into smaller parts. All cultures have recognized the value of gold, and as a result it is still a hot commodity on the markets in countries throughout the world today.

Many people who chose to invest in gold are somewhat skeptical about the state of the world. Gold, they figure, has always been and will always be in demand, so if the worst happens and an economy goes into the toilet, investments in gold will remain safe and secure (provided, of course, that it is not stolen, another common historical occurrence with the precious metal). Whenever a large scale war breaks out, gold prices always go up, as it is proof against an inflated and devalued dollar and other economic downturns.

Gold allows the investor a number of opportunities in their options. Many of us would not think of it in this way, but gold is easily stored in our houses and even in our persons in the form of decorations or jewelry, which means that gold is a kind of portable wealth. Someone who buys a lot of jewelry can therefore be thought of as a kind of investor in gold.

More serious investors might consider buying gold in the form of bullion or coins issued by stable, reputable governments through brokerage firms or well known dealers. Again, this gold is transportable, easily liquidated wealth and the investor must undertake for its safety herself. If you choose this method of investment and storing, you will have to get your gold tested before you can sell it on your own.

In order to avoid the expense and the hassle of testing your gold, you could instead choose to purchase the metal through a mutual fund that specializes in precious metals. Not only will this eliminate the need to have the gold tested before sale, it will also earn you some interest over time, which hard sales of gold will not. You will also avoid the costs of insurance and the anxiety of storage.

Investing in gold is a time proven way of retaining wealth even in the most trying of circumstances. The risks of gold also remain, however, as it remains a highly mobile commodity that can be taken away as easily as it is stored, and the proper precautions must be taken.

The value of a shovel

I grew up in Florida. I loved my childhood years, and not just because I lived three miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Rather, I loved my childhood because it was quite a normal childhood. I went to school and mostly hated it. I had a ton of friends that I loved to play with for hours and hours on end. My family was great and we made it to the beach as often as we could make time for it. My life seemed perfect, and I was quite sure that it would stay that way. I went to college in Florida and just assumed that I'd always live there. Life has a way of giving us reality checks however. I searched for jobs and found one in Minneapolis, Minneasota. I moved there ignorantly and quickly learned the value of a shovel.

I'll be honest. The only shovel I had encountered prior to my move to Minneapolis was a small one that my siblings and I used to make sandle castles on the beach. It had snowed a few times during my growing up years, but never enough to warrant the use of a shovel. So my transition to Minneapolis went smoothly until October hit and the snow began falling. It began falling and didn't stop falling until nearly April. I was warned by a new friend to buy a shovel when the first snow fell so fortunately I was prepared with my tool of choice to battle the winter snows.

I quickly learned the value of a shovel. I learned that a shovel has value because it does something very necessary when there is a pileup of snow or ice: it allows someone to remove that snow or ice and keep on living. I was thinking of the value of the shovel and about how a shovel is way more valuable to people in Minneapolis than it is to a resident of Florida. Most residents of Florida will never have use for a shovel, and therefore, they care little about whether they own a shovel or not.

That is a crazy thing about life and about humans assign value. It seems like we assign value to people and things based on their purpose in our life and based on what they can do for us. Don't we? As much as we'd like to claim that we are fully altruistic, isn't it true that we only appreciate a shovel, a medical doctor or even our own mother only when we need that thing to come through for us and do something?

I guess I learned a lot about myself and about the world upon moving to Minneapolis. I learned more than just how to use a shovel.

Night driving with ease and hid

Want to throw out your car’s headlamps for their lousy performance? You better reach out for an HID conversion kit. Rid you night driving stress and see far much beyond the dashboard.

What is HID?

If you’ve ever wondered about the bluish lights from the headlamps of other cars, you have seen HID lamps at work. It is no big secret, really. These High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps use mercury vapor, metal halide, or low or high pressure sodium. HID headlamps are more efficient and much brighter. They also draw less energy from a car’s battery.

The bluish green lamps are emitted by earlier Mercury vapor lamps. Today, the lights are whiter. Sodium lamps have yellow light, but high pressure sodium headlamps give off whiter illumination and the metal halide lamps produce light that is more natural.

The halogen-tungsten with sealed beams that you are using is fading out with the bold invasion of HID. These hit the scene in 1991 with the BMW 7-series. The North American market was quite slow in adopting the new technology, but it was immediately embraced in Europe and Japan. Finally, in 1996, the Mark VIII was the first American car to use these bulbs.

Arc Light Technology

HID bulbs produce what is known as the arc light effect. In conventional bulbs, electricity passes through a wire filament. Higher electricity voltage creates an arc of light which you see as a whiter illumination. The light produced is three times brighter than the common filament application.

HID bulbs have a lot of uses outside cars. You may also want to have the arc lights on your bike for those late afternoon races. Perhaps you need brighter light to warm your exotic plants or greens in your plant nursery. Brighter lights also assure safety on the road and security inside big retail outlets, shops, and parking lots.

Costly But Worth It

Make those long night drives during heavy rains hassle-free with HID headlamps. Upgrade your car’s headlamp with HID bulbs. You can opt for bluish, white, or yellow light. But for night driving, white light is preferable.

These bulbs are easy to install if you can get to the headlight assembly. Simply remove old bulbs and install new ones. However, you must make sure that your hands are clean and free of grease or you’ll end up contaminating the sensitive new bulbs. You can be sure that your new HID bulbs have been tried for their staying power, which passed the 200-hour test.

If you lack the tools and the expertise, you can have the bulbs installed by a mechanic. This may cost you $300 to $1,800, so make inquiries about the possibilities with regards to your car make and model.

Go For The Best HID bulbs

There are lots of HID bulbs out there. When it is about your car, look for the HID headlamps that will allow for "flash to pass" and give extra light on demand. Avoid HID bulbs that require more start up current, which may wear down your car’s wiring and other components. The best ones may be expensive, but when it comes to convenience and safety, you money is well spent.

Shop at a car auction for the perfect car

If you are hunting for a car, there are many places you can look. There are new car dealers, used car dealers, those who are selling their car privately, and car auctions. You have a multitude of resources at your disposal to find a great car. Some of these resources are better than others when you are attempting to find the right car for you.

The first question you must answer is what kind of car are you looking for? What are your purposes for getting the car and what will it be used for? What is your budget and realistic price range for the car? Answering these questions will be very helpful before you go off and buy a car. Going to a car auction can be a great and undiscovered way to find the right car for you.

I'll admit that I was a bit leery when a friend suggested that my husband and I visit a car auction or two before we purchased a car for our family. I really didn't know anything about car auctions, but I went along to see what we could learn and possibly to get a great car. We knew we were looking for a family car that could comfortable hold six people. Obviously that narrows down our options either to a van, mini van, or suv. We were aware of these limitations and yet we didn't have an overly large budget to spend. Quite frankly, we were not expecting to find anything that worked.

If you are looking for a great car, I would highly suggest going to a car auction. Basically, a car auction happens when cars have been leased and then are put up for sale to the public. Often car auctions happen in large cities and gather hundreds of people. You have to know what you are looking for then be insistent about finding it. The great thing about going to a car auction is that you can usually find great deals as discounted prices. It is likely that you will get a better deal on a car at a car auction than you will even at a used car dealership.

You can find out about car auctions online, through word of mouth, or even sometimes in newspapers. Check for updates on car auctions once a week so that you do not miss out on any great sales. If you are looking for a great vehicle or two, don't forget to look at car auctions. You may be surprised how much time, money and energy you save looking all in one place

during one day.

Understanding the benefits of antioxidants

With researchers continuing to wage war on cancers and other serious illness, the ways in which we can prevent – as well as treat – these maladies has become paramount in their efforts. While scientists strive to find effective cures for disease, they work just as hard to develop concise information on prevention. In so doing, experts turn to the role our diets play in our continued health. Subsequently, the benefits of antioxidants take center stage in a myriad of preventative functions.

Research has shown that the benefits of antioxidants include the prevention and slowing of cancers, the prevention of heart disease and overall health of the body due to an incredibly bolstered immune system.

Most experts agree that a daily integration of those foods high in antioxidants will go a long way to helping the body fight off illness. It has been shown that most cancers are linked to free radicals – those molecules in the body that have been compromised by poor diet or environmental factors and subsequently lose an electron. These rebel molecules look to their healthy counterparts to replace their missing electrons – what begins, in essence, a battle of free radicals on healthy cells. This, according to experts, is the beginning of cancer.

The benefits of antioxidants include the ability of these substances to work on the side of healthy cells – bolstering the body’s immune system and allowing it to fight against free radicals. The reinforcement of the immune system also works to strengthen all body functions – preventing everything from heart disease to the common cold.

A variety of foods contain the benefits of antioxidants including fruits such as watermelon and blueberries, green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale, tomato and tomato products, and even red wine and dark chocolate.

Introducing these complex and beneficial nutrients will arm the human body with the tools necessary to protect health. To truly understand the benefits of antioxidants and identify the foods that contain them, it’s best to work with your doctor to set goals and lay out a plan. Before long you will be doing all that you can to ensure yourself a lifetime of health.

Optimizing websites for google

In today's competitive online market, anyone who is even a casual browser is aware of how important Google is to any business. Chances are, the bulk of your customers will be finding out about your business via Google, and whether you offer high-tech communication solutions or knitting supplies, you can bet that your sales will be affected by the position that your website occupies on a list of natural Google results. While you can certainly do your best to make a good site that is optimized for the Google search engine, there are many specific strategies that you can use to ensure that your website gets the traffic it needs.

The first and most obvious place to make your improvements is on the page itself. What do you offer in terms of good content? The Google search engine will search for context as well as content and through having good material on your site - articles, industry-specific glossaries and essays, to name a few - you'll be that much more attractive to Google. Essentially, you are looking to optimize your use of keywords and the context that they come in. Part of this is simply making sure that you have a good site that gives the people they want, but remember that it does go beyond that.

Keyword density, the amount of time that a word or phrase is used on your site, is an important factor to keep in mind. Research is often done to ensure that they keywords that you are using will bring the right customers to your website. If the content of your site is too general, you'll will end up not being specific enough and so loose relevance! Try to put yourself in the mind of someone who doesn't even know what your service is. What questions is this person going to be asking themselves, and what should you do to draw them to you?

When you are planning to optimize your site for Google's search engine, you should also remember that work should be done off your site as well. One thing that the Google search engine will judge you on is how many other sites will link to yours. If you are in a specialized business, where competitors are offering the precise same service that you are, there is a certain cachet in being a site that is linked to, which is something that Google has decided to use as a measure of your worth. Link building is the process whereby people make themselves more attractive to the Google search engine by ensuring that their link is everywhere. Remember that reciprocal links do not hold as much weight any more and so you should try to stick to one way links; while they can be very handy for building a rapport with other sites or businesses, keep in mind the fact that they are not appropriate tools when it comes time to help you with link building.

As you can see, making sure that your website gets the highest rank possible from the Google search engine is something of a full-time job. Make sure that you understand these basic concepts before you try to revolutionize the world with your web marketing abilities.

Consolidate debt safely

Even though debt consolidation can save your financial status, as well as your personal relationships you still need to be aware of the growing trend to consolidate debt. Financial planning is always key in any healthy bank account, but beware of what some of these firms offer. Many have advertised all over the Internet and TV, but some of these are now being sued by different attorney generals, the IRS, and even the FTC. The reason for these suits is the fact that they are not really non-profits.

The FTC and five different states have sued one of the worst offenders in the debt consolidation game. The company has filed for bankruptcy, but has not really gone out of business since they merely have broken up into a few different companies. This means you still need to be aware of companies that used to be part of a large company or have recently changed names.

You might hear a variety of names given to such “debt consolidation companies” this are because of the negative press that many of these companies have received. They are trying to change this word to something that has a better connotation. You may hear the phrases “debt negotiation” or “debt settlement” used instead when you are looking for a company to work with.

Make sure you go to your local Better Business Bureau before you begin working with a company. You’ll want to know if they have a good reputation in your area. You may find a company that has a good rating, but this may also mean very little. If a complaint is lodged against a company and then it is resolved, there is a good chance that it will not be recorded against their permanent record. The Better Business Bureau has no legal authority to act against these companies or help you if you get in a bind.

Be very wary of any debt consolidation company that is located or registered in Maryland or Florida. These states have no official regulation against debt consolidation companies in these states, so there is a chance that you may find a company that is not up to the high standards that you would like.

A good way to check for the best company is to look online and read reviews that have been left by customers. If you find customer reviews you will be hearing directly from the people served as to the quality of your potential debt consolidation company.

The pros and cons of charter flights

For people who would like to have the most privilege and the benefits in flying, he would normally choose a charter flight instead of taking the usual airline flights that many of us had experienced. Basically, charter flights refer to those flights that deviate from the normal course of flight activities and schedules. This means that with charter flights, you can personally decide the time, date, and the location according to your personal preference and necessity. Actually, in a simpler point of view, charter flights are specially created to provide convenient flying to people who do not have fixed schedules. It also provides expediency to people whose activities require frequent flying that take place usually out of the typical flight schedules.

1. Nature Of Charter Flights

In most instances, charter flights are used during the peak season and holidays. That is why, most charter flight tickets are included in vacation holiday packages. These vacation packages include all the necessary items needed by an individual like the price of the ticket, accommodation, food, and other services. Even if charter flights are more manageable, however, the discretion is usually based on the preference of the passengers, it also entails some rules and regulations that must be observed at all times. Normally, charter flights will only take its course if it has a near 100% seating capacity or if the numbers of passengers are almost filling up the actual number of seating capacity of a certain charter plane. However, its actual number of seating capacity is lower than the usual number of commercial airplanes. On the other hand, not all charter flights are created perfect. Hence, there are instances that it also has its own flaws and drawbacks as well as its advantages and benefits.

2. Pros And Cons

Pros

- Charter flights can provide you with many flights, even up to ten times, as compared to what the traditional commercial planes can give you.

- All you have to do is to pick your destination and the place of the airport where you want to land.

- Charter flights give you the convenience of time because you decide your departure time.

- With charter flights, you do not have to go through the tedious process of check-in and checkout requirements.

- Charter flights give you the privilege of utmost convenience flying, away from the hustle and bustle of commercial planes.

Cons

- Charter flights cannot go anywhere around the globe. This is because there are some countries that do not allow the entry of charter planes.

- As much as it can give you the convenience of flying, charter flights are susceptible to restricted flights and stiff schedules. This means that there are instances wherein charter flights cannot arrange or change some flights for you in the event that there are some changes in your schedules.

- Payments for charter flights are usually in advance. This would mean that you are financially compelled to follow the rules, otherwise, you cannot hire their services.

- As much as it can be safe, charter flights may not be capable of providing you with utmost security. However, this is still subject to some factors and that not all charter flights are created equal. That is why it is extremely important to choose a charter flight that is fully recognized and credited by the Federal Aviation Administration or the FAA.

3. Other Considerations

Indeed, charter flights may be applicable to some but not all. After all, the selection and the final discretion are always dependent on the person who will pay for the services. Just remember, in order to avoid any discrepancy or problems with regards to the services of your chosen charter flight agency, always do some background check first. As mentioned, be sure that the charter flight that you will use is duly credited and recognized by the FAA. Otherwise, any problem that may arise from your use of their charter flight services may be disregarded especially if the company is not authorized by the FAA. The bottom line here is that where your money goes, care and security must be observed at all times.
